What sacrifices would you have to make to afford Louis Vuitton’s gorgeous Montaigne bag – all butter-soft leather and gold hardware, and a hefty of hundred euros?
These days we’re prepared to spend more on a handbag than a holiday or even a car – and we want the rest of the world to know it. Clothes on the catwalk regularly take second place to this most covetable of accessories – a trend borne out earlier this year when Kate Moss starred in Longchamp’s bag campaign, lying naked on a beach, except for her Longchamp handbag.
The message was clear: clothes are redundant – it’s all about the It-Bag.
Named after the Parisian avenue, the Montaigne Bag is a smart and spacious tote bag, which was released early this year. It features a central zipped compartment with a padlock and two wide interior compartments. It also includes a detachable shoulder strap and can be carried across the body. The Louis Vuitton Montaigne Bag comes in Monogram Canvas and Monogram Empreinte but I chose the classic one because I think you can combine it with everything. I always tend to go on the classic way. Its comfortable and big enough to contain our survival kit for daily life in the urban jungle – from mobile phone, tampons, make-up, money and keys, to hair straighteners, laptops, iphones, chewing gum or a change of clothes. lol
This is one of my favourite looks so far, wide leather pants, sneakers and a white top. I tried to keep the colors basic so the bag could be more visible and do the thing.. you know ..What do you think? The comments down below 😉
