Christmas shines brightest in Saint Teresa Square in the center of the city. Tirana’s most beautiful area is aglow with over a million Christmas lights, making it the largest Christmas Market of the past years. Festive food and drinks, holiday shopping and heart-warming shows make the spirit of the season come alive. I was so into the Christmas spirit that day that I decided to go out shooting. My choice? A cloth tartan skirt which to my surprise matched properly with the striped turtleneck and black boots. As for the accessories, a beret was a last moment choice which turned out to be great. My idea of wearing a beret had always been: “I would never, ever wear a beret. It’s a hat that serves no purpose and almost everyone who’s seen in them (poor souls) has them pulled too far down on their foreheads or trying too hard to tilt them just right.” It’s safe to say I became a victim of my own judgement. The “tilt” is a result of many attempts trying to fix it and not let it fall down my forehead. But hey, I did have a great time playing around and it brought about a great result. So no regrets there! If you have suggestions or comments, down below .. you know the drill.
